Impossible bathroom!

I will post pics when I finish but I have a bathroom that has aqua/green and pinkin/salmon shower tiles but the floor and sink and backsplash are more of a mint green and pink....I guess the previous owners did their best to match but it doesn't! We don't have the money to rip it all out and my husband wanted to try tile paint but there is SO much tile in there...I said no. So, I am painting the walls an eggplant and will accessorize with various shades of lavender...sound crazy? I've seen lots of decorator rooms with mint green and various shades of purple and it looks great! Besides the shower will be hidden behind a curtain...wish me luck!

hi teri, just for fun you could embrace the tile (for now) and use this "sexy" color palette adding hot pink and turquoise http://bit.ly/JZ9fdC. i attach some inspiration photos....

OK! Here are the after photos! I am very pleased so far. Maybe a few more touches here and there but we love the color! I had this large print downstairs in a closet for years so I immediately thought of it! The shower curtain I picked out online after hours (no really :-() of searching and found it at bedbath&beyond. The previous liner was cream so I bought a new white one to match. I painted all the trim bright white. This redo actually cost $30 for a can of great Behr paint and ...»
primer combo, the shower curtain and liner were $32 total. The towels I got at Home Goods for $45 (2 bath, 3 hand, and a 12 pack of washcloths). I found the flower and vase also at Home Goods on a discontinued rack for $5! :-) Total cost $112! Thanks for the encouragement everyone!

    • The new eggplant bathroom!
    • I was so happy the pink and lavender and eggplant played off the mint green so well!
    • Purple shades can be beautiful!
    • Just a touch of the mint color in a few hand towels and we are coordinated!
    • This picture was stuck in a closet for SO long! Just waiting for me to want to do something PURPLE! LOL

Wow, you did a great job in a tough situation on a limited budget. Anyone have any ideas of what to do with an old avocado green bathtub? I don't want to paint it.
