I would like to find a way to clean my white upholstered furniture.

Pat Madsen on Oct 13, 2014I used to be a medical assistant and it was hard keeping white uniforms really white, a coworker told me to soak them in Cascade dishwasher powder and water. It worked! I don't know how you could use this idea for upholstered items, but worth looking into. I think that Cascade may be like Oxyclean. Any Oxygenated cleaner may work. There is Arm and Hammer Washing Soda as well.(not the Laundry detergent ) Maybe try it with a mixture of one of the above in a small amount and try it with a small soft brush. Do you have a carpet cleaner with an attachment? That would be a faster way to do the whole thing when you find the right solution. Good luck!Helpful Reply

Angela on Oct 14, 2014I would definitely try Pat's suggestion with a carpet cleaner's upholstery attachment and if that doesn't work as well as you'd like, try Mrs. Stewards bluing. It's found in the laundry asile and you would add 2-3 drops to the tank of a carpet cleaner and use the upholstery attachment to apply. The bluing will help counteract the yellowing in the couch, returning it to bright white.Helpful Reply
