Building a DIY Retaining Wall

When I moved in my fixer upper 1979 house 2 years ago, I knew that a retaining wall would be on my list to improve the curb appeal of my house, which was definitely lacking. I've since added a new front porch, painted the entire house, landscaped the front yard and added this beautiful retaining wall with stacking stones. It was a very doable DIY project and made such a difference in my house.
Adding a DIY retaining wall was one of the best ways to create curb appeal on my fixer upper house.
Curves add so much appeal outdoors and this area was perfect for a retaining wall. Before it was ugly dirt and grass on a sloped area. Adding pea gravel and pavers next to the driveway was just the thing to improve this space.
I added an urn and column with pretty plants to up the visual appeal of the wall too.
This has been on my to-do list for 2 years and it's great to have it finished. Me and my 87 year old dad did this one DIY!
