What's the best type of flooring to put down in a foyer?

Becky P on Aug 16, 2012we did 12 inch ceramic tile in our split foyer last summer. I love it! It was the hideous parquet before that. If you get ceramic tile that has indents built in you wouldn't be able to tell if something happened to it. lolHelpful Reply

KMS Woodworks on Aug 17, 2012Tile over a concrete slab is about as robust as you can get. to help keep it looking good from gritty dirt get a decent sisal door mat for outside the tuft kind not woven. I have cut out lots of wood floors to install tile entries...because the wood can not hold up as well. http://www.hometalk.com/search?filter=tile+entry+%2B+kms&search=&zipcode=#!/9153Helpful Reply
