Enamelware Tiered Stand

I recently realized that somewhere along my thrifty travels, I had picked up two matching pieces of enamelware. I knew immediately that I wanted to make a tiered stand out of them!
The enamelware bowl and pie plate both had a black rim. I just love enamelware for the way it ages around the edges!
To construct the stand, I used a candlestick that I had also picked up at a thrift store. The candlestick was perfect for the job because it came apart and had dowels to reconnect everything together. It couldn't have been simpler!
This is the base of the stand. Once I had taken apart the candlestick, I simply drilled holes in the center of the plate and bowl, then inserted the dowels. To secure everything together, I used an epoxy that is made fro metal and wood bonding.
I love how the stand turned out! I always admire these so much when I see them and I'm thrilled I finally got to make one!
