A New Lease on Life!

This setee is one that I had saved for 18 years, because I knew it had good bones and "potential", my husbands least favorite word.
The weathered wicker was easy to remove, and he was doing so, he finally understood my dream. He took it and ran with it. We worked together to make it work for my photography business, as a prop.
Using old rope salvaged from farms in the area, doilies bought on the Highway 36 Treasure Hunt in September, an old sheet for cushions, and burlap I had used for a baby shower this past summer, it's covered. I'm so excited at how it turned out, and can't wait to use it for Senior pictures, soon.
And it sure doesn't hurt that it looks good in my living room too! Oh yeah, and did I tell you there's a matching chair? heheheheh It's on the list!

Carole on Oct 14, 2014Amazing save and what vision you have. Anything where the frame is in tact is worth keeping in my view. You can always do something with it to morph it into a different look. I have bought garden chairs where the only part I have kept was the frame and they sit proudly in my back yard. Love your chair - it must be a talking point for sure!
