Gold star for us, we finally tackled our first pallet project! We've had a sailing picture in our coastal themed room for a few years, and we were getting tired of it. So, we decided to put our "DIY" hat on, and make ourselves something new for the wall.
Here's essentially all we used; a mirror, and a pallet. we also used wood glue and a few other things.
We took apart the pallet, and cut the wood to fit in a neat row for the mirror to go on top. Then, we glued and nailed two pieces of wood to the back to connect all the pallet wood together.
I then whitewashed the wood to make it look more weathered. Once dried, we glued on a mirror that I painted blue to match our room. I also glued on some sisal rope to give it a little something extra.
And we had ourselves a nice mirror to go over the dresser! We love how it turned out. This will not be our last pallet project, that's for sure! Head over to my blog to see more details!

Colette on Oct 17, 2014This is awesome! How did you get that whitewashed finish? I am totally stealing this for my beach-themed guestroom.
