Thanks YaminiM! I had a blast working on this:) Was a little nervous with sanding after spending so much time painting it. I am happy with how it turned out!

It is beautiful, I am actually so inspired, I feel like buying one now and refinishing it!

I used Grand Distinctions Sublime Lime in a semi gloss with the primer and paint in one. My favorite paint! We were very lucky to find this buffet in our area, because we don't have anything in our area!! We usually have to travel 1-2 hrs to find a great deal. Get out there and do it:) It was so much fun!

I really like this! Love how you "aged" it via paint, too.

Maresa-have fun!! I lightly sanded the piece just to get the gloss off and then cleaned it with a damp cloth. Then started painting! It took 2 coats to get good coverage, although most "aged" pieces have a light coat of color over the wood to let it show through. That's not what I was going for here. After drying I took a sanding block with 150 grit paper and went in at a 45 degreee angle to the corners and edges and then lightly sanded the hard to get into areas. When I was done, I wiped the whole piece again with a damp cloth and viola!:)

I have thought about traveling for stuff, but my attempts locally have been so disappointing I would hate to travel at least 2 1/2 hours and find the picture had been misrepresented. I saw a picture of what looked like a nice wood desk..went to see it,and it was veneer laminate junk. i had asked the guy via email if it was WOOD as opposed to laminated..oh yes he said. And the laminate was peeling off, not visible in the picture. Other times I got bogus scams. I think I am the only one who sold anything of quality on our CL. not a fan.
