Crib Parts Upcycled

This is the rough frame to create a back cushion for the downstairs daybed. It is made from the front piece and two side rails of a sleigh crib. The sections are mended together. I am considering adding a thin piece of board across the middle horizontally for added reinforcement. Then all this will be covered with batting and fabric. Other ideas? Suggestions?
From crib to toddler bed...
To frame for daybed backrest... to be continued with batting and fabric.

Same here. I cannot wait to cover the backrest with fabric. Cannot decide exactly what I want! The crib mattress will be turned into a small sofa for the kids to sit while taking shoes on and off. Hopefully I can get the crib from my mother's house and turn it into a trellis or bench for her.

What a great idea. I have been trying to find a headboard to weave either wood or canvas through. This would work. Thanks for the idea.
