Adding Personal Details to Decorating

Hello Sweets, today I want to talk about how adding special personal details
to Home Decor adds so much character to your home. For instance,
I found this old window frame for 20 bucks at a local craft show the other day. I printed
out some B&W prints of our boy playing in the dirt and placed them in the window frame.
I know that you can order custom prints online at Shutterfly.
I added the word "WASH" (more on that project coming soon) on top of the frame to

give the wall even more character and interest.
The arrow is pointing towards the sink.

Perfect addition to our powder room, don't you think?

The wall has such personality now!

(sorry about the bad lighting in the picture)
Check out this old potato masher on our kitchen window

sill, simply add a wooden clothes-pin to the

handle and display a special photograph.

Now it has a dual purpose.
For our sons bathroom I framed Baby pictures of him

taking a bath (seems the perfect place for a bathroom).

I added some twine to hang the frames from and hot

glued some cute things to the frames.

Don't be afraid to add new touches to pieces you already love.
I really love adding letters to walls and frames. You might remember this Family Monogram Chalk board I made a while back? I got the letters at Hobby Lobby and they really add personality to the wall.
Another great item of mine that has a lot of personal character is this "Olympia" pillow. I made it a couple of years back at a Craft night. You can print anything you want on a pillow to make it personal: a Wedding or Birth Date, a Monogram or your city's name with Longitude and Latitude Coordinates.
