Installed New Light Fixtures

I replaced almost all of the old light fixtures in our home with new ones.
*Options I considered for this project:
I considered having a handyman install them but I had some experience with installing lighting fixtures and wanted to take this project on myself.
*Questions and unexpected events that arose during the project:
Aside from a couple small electrical issues in the kitchen that were easily resolved, we did not have any unexpected events or problems with this project.
* Cost Comments:
The $700 was the cost of all of the light fixtures that I purchased.
*My motivation to do this project:
I wanted to update the look in our home.
*Project Steps:
Shopped around for new light fixtures for our upstairs and downstairs hallways, 2 fixtures for the kitchen and a new fixture in our office. Once we found what we wanted we took down the old fixtures and installed the new ones.
Advice:
Do turn off the circuit breaker that controls each fixture before you start.
Materials:
lighting - $0.00

    My husband has always replaced out electrical fixtures. But then he can fix anything he can put his mind to.

    Nice work Leigh. I am about to complete a remodel of my downstairs toilet. However, since the room has been painted a darker color I have discovered that I need more light. I want to add a ceiling light but I am having problems finding contemporary lighting fixtures that are a bit more upscale than what is available at Lowes, Home Depot, or Progressive Lighting. Can anyone recommend a good source in the Metro area?
