Need ideas on up cycling a fake-ish wicker table
-
Cecelia on Oct 21, 2014If none of the existing wicker is salvageable, how about stripping it off and painting the bones of the piece. You could then recover with new wicker or a wrap of fabric or ribbon you like. Twine or rope could also work well!Helpful Reply

Judy Gray on Oct 21, 2014@Betty Hammond-Wirsen Rope or twine is a good (cheap) replacement for wicker. I've used it to either replace or repair broken or damaged wicker. Cloth or ribbon sounds fun, too. Burlap?Helpful Reply

Michele on Oct 21, 2014I Fixed all of my wicker by first brushing it with a metal brush, then spraying it with appliance spray paint. Regular spray paint didn't work--just crusted. But the epoxy appliance paint strengthened the wick and it looks almost new again.Helpful Reply
