Salvage Candle Holders
by

I don't know what is so enchanting about repurposing, I just know that I am hooked. So when I found an old iron based lamp at the side of a road I knew exactly what it would become: a garden candle holder. First, a distressed paint job with homemade chalk paint (I'm too lazy to prime).
I spend so much time looking for creative ways to repurpose items as garden containers. But when I found this sweet little metal planter, images of candle light flickered in my eyes.
Next to it is a cake stand with a big broken chunk.
Broke my heart at the same time - and I was the one who broke it.
An antique colander with some Christmas greens...
