1970's Blue Bathroom!
by
Cheryl B
(IC: homeowner)
We are planning to replace all of the 1970's blue tile on the walls, floor and shower
*My motivation to do this project:
To make our bathroom more modern to fit with the other updates we have made to our 1970's house
*Project Steps:
We have done some research on the types of tile we want to use, but have not started construction yet.
Advice:
I don't think you are supposed to tile over tile
Materials:
1 X Sample tile - $1.25
1 X Sample Tile 2 - $1.25

Hudson Designs on Oct 26, 2010You need a Flat bar. A type of pry bar but it's wider about 2 inches. and old blanket, hammer. razor knife, gloves and saftey glasses as Yamin said. I would hold off on the beer till your done. Cut the tile and drywall line with razor so the drywall above won't get pulled and need patching. Place old blanket in floor below where you will start demo. I would work 1 wall at a time. Place tile in a contractor bag or box to be desposed of. This makes for easyer handling of the pices that will break. "be careful they as sharp as glass"
