Man Cave Makeover: Rustic Industrial

I was invited by Man Crates, Gifts for Men to take part in their Man Cave Makeover Campaign. They challenged me to come up with some ideas to spruce up a dull man cave for my special guy! Man Crates is a one-stop shop for the hard to shop for men in your life, they feature a wide variety of crates specifically created for men. Whether they are a fishermen, athlete, gamer, snack or beer enthusiast you will be sure to find a crate that suits your brother, husband, father, friend or boyfriend. Plus each gift set comes packaged in a wooden crate that they get to pry open with a crow bar, how fun is that!
With my husband’s help, we came up with an inspiration board for a rustic industrial man cave. We currently have an unfinished basement which will eventually become Jesiah’s man cave, along with a laundry room, bathroom, storage room and a spare bedroom when our budget allows for it of course. For now the unfinished space has a flat screen television, couch and tons of gaming and music equipment and of course my little laundry corner is down there too. It is a rather un-inviting space right now, which made this such a fun project for both my husband and I to work on together. We enjoyed dreaming up what this space could eventually become and coming up with lots of cool accessories that we would love to incorporate.
I had some trouble deciding which crate suits my husband’s personality as I was torn between the Hot & Spicy Crate and the Retro Gamer Crate, but finally settled on the Hot & Spicy Crate. This crate features all things spicy, including habanero chips and a variety of hot sauces that I know my husband would love to try! He is very adventurous with spicy food and peppers! We even grew some Scorpion and Habanero peppers in our veggie garden this year to make sauces with. For me, I stick with Jalapeno peppers!
