Replacing my Heating and Air system

Looking to replace our 15+ year old hvac system.
*My motivation to do this project:
After our heat went out this past weekend, we placed a service call and had a tech out today. He found a short in the furnace which knocked out the thermostat and caused some of the connections to melt and some burn marks are visible as well. Being this is a 15+ year old system the cost of repairs compared to the replacement cost, replacing our system may make more sense for us.

What type of system did you end up going with? By the way, is that a red snaper in the picture... ? chuckle!

In the past 3 weeks I have been fighting w/a leak which was finally found under the floorboard under the kitchen sink. By the time they finally found that leak the rug was wet from the kitchen to the bedroom. They have been replacing all the piping under the mobile home. Every time they tried hooking up the extensions the broke. Now that they have finally replaced the extensions it was time to replace the insulation ... ran into another problem ... A leak from the kerosene tank going into the ground ... an EVP problem. Leak finally fixed & ground leak cleaned up. Since temps went down last night they were back to put up insulation at 7 am . Now I have to get the rugs up so the floors can finally fry out. Other than that everything is just fine! Thanks for listening to me, it helps to unload.
