wood stove surround + mantle
completed for a client...ripped out the old fireplace insert. reframed the hole installed black granite tile and built a custom mantle. this was a pricey stove install..class A chimney was need for about 25 feet.
Black Granite tile...added some nice thermal mass for the soap stone stove. Mantle is cherry with ebony trim at the corners

The wood stove in our cabin is a baby compared to this one...I have done a handful of stove platforms and backdrops...Absolute Black granite...is one of my favorites...thats why w added it to our cabin...Its also real good at absorbing the low Infrared heat from a wood stove...the added thermal mass can mak a big difference in some applications
