Window Shades

I would like to know the pros and cons of installing power roller shades on my windows.
I have 3 walls of windows and would like to cover them with room darkening power shades. There is no electric run up to where the shades would be installed. I have researched and found that there are DC and battery powered options to power the shades. Does anyone have experience with this? Or, if you are a professional shade installer, what are my options. Thank you.
Each window is roughly 12 ft by 5 ft.

I owned my window blinds business for 21 years. Remote controlled blinds are often noisy, almost never go up & down in sync with each other. The batteries require you to remove the shade or blind (most require 6-8 batteries each), be aware of how you remove the battery sticks which house the batteries. This can be annoying if you are a novice. I personally do not like the remote controlled blinds. You will need to call the manufacturer & have the remote set once you get the blinds installed. If you ever have issues with batteries you will most likely need to call the manufacturer again to set the remote. This goes for all remote blinds or shades. The wall powered require an electrician to install the electrical recepticle, as homes do not have these in place usually where needed. hope this helps you to decide. Remember blinds companies do not come out to change your batteries. Good luck!
