Small Kitchen Remodel
by
Michele
(IC: homeowner)
We rent our house so are not going all out, but we are helping our landlord to redo parts of the kitchen that were damaged by a water leak. He received about $4,000 from the insurance company (after his deductible was taken out) and is leaving up to us what we do with the money ($4,000 not $5) as long as the damaged cabinet is fixed.

KMS Woodworks on Jan 06, 2011looks like a bit of mold in the dry wall in the ceiling...from a leak above? The trouble with many cheap cabinets is they are made from particle board... once this gets wet it turns to sawdust and falls apart. I have done some small kitchens...parts and labor with new cabinets in your 4k budget...the new appliances in many kitchen remodels eat up the money not the cabinets. a basic sink base is just over $150 bucks http://www.homedepot.com/Kitchen-Cabinets-Cabinet-Hardware-Assembled/h_d1/N-5yc1vZ1xhfZary9/R-100559157/h_d2/ProductDisplay?langId=-1&storeId=10051&catalogId=10053
