How To Paint A Union Jack On Furniture

I have been wanting to paint a Union Jack on some furniture for awhile now. But....I was too intimidated. Until, I found a little end table that I thought would work perfectly.
First, start off painting your piece blue. This is what you will paint the red and stripes on to. Then find an official flag so you understand how the stripes should go. If you look closely, the diagonal red lines are not even. They are on opposite sides after you cross the middle.
Here are the different steps of how I taped each section off. Once my tape was in place, I cut the tap away where needed and began painting.
With the white paint where it needed to be, I then worked on the red stripes.
Distress and add a little clear wax and some new knobs and he is all set. Read my blog to find out more details.
