Rental repairs

One of my pet peeves is the laziness of some painters. How much time does it really take to remove a switch cover? I have seen People try to "cut in" around switches and plugs. Which takes about twice as long as just removing the cover plate.
.
I saw a first the other day working on our rental property...aside from the fact that the tenant painted without asking they did a very crappy job of it.
One of the outlets was painted over as well as a few switch plates, but what takes the prize is that on this one plug it appears that they did not even unplug something and just painted around it....what complete laziness...either that or their painting project was done in a completly stoned state...Jeesh!!

KMS Woodworks on Jun 30, 2011What I've been up to the last couple weeks. When our illegal tenant (sub -let) left last month the rental property was pretty trashed. She was the one who did the painting with out removing the plug...stoned? So I repainted the Living room, both bedrooms and the Kitchen. Today I cleaned all the carpets and completed the new basic backsplash. It was odd that this place never had one when It was remodels a few years back ( this was a bit before my future partner bought it) She briefly lived there before moving in with me... a few years of renters can really bring a place to its knees. The front door got a new color as did the wood framed exterior windows, the green was a a gallon of mis-tint from the hardware store...$5...such a deal
