Decorating on a Budget

We've all been there.....you move into a new home and you are all of a sudden faced with this overwhelming desire to change everything, fill it up with stuff, decorate........Sometimes it is an old home with fixtures and decor that screams of its age (our fist home for example) other times it is a brand new empty white box with no window coverings (read new build). Either way furnishing and decorating a new home can be both exciting and daunting to your psyche and budget. Here are some tips that have worked for us and will work for you too as you chip away at this seemingly Herculean task.
You can also use this strategy to update your home for each season. That way you are not spending a whole lot of money updating to your decor and most importantly filling up your home with seasonal decor.

To me a home that is decorated on a budget will have loads of stories associated with each and every object and will have your stamp all over it. Isn't that what we all want, our homes to tell our story?
