How do I clean porcelain tile
-
Peteysmom on Oct 26, 2014You can use peroxide on regular tiles, I an not sure about porcelain tiles. It works good for grout. It also has a disinfectant quality so it is good for counter tops instead of bleach, but it can discolor clothes or carpets, etc, like bleach.Helpful Reply

Woodbridge Environmental Tiptophouse.com on Oct 26, 2014Good quality tile stores will sell products that should help you with these stains. In any case, once you clean the tiles, you need to seal them. The water is getting into the surface and as it dries it causes the spot. If you seal the tile the water will not soak into the surface so any staining in the future is simply a cleaning away.Helpful Reply

Robin on Oct 27, 2014I have porcelain in my kitchen. It is a light color. I use nothing more than white vinegar and baking soda. I pour white vinegar all over the floor, until fully covered. Then, I pour a box or two of baking soda on top of that. I let sit for about 15 minutes, scrub with a brush on a long handle. Once scrubbed, I mop up and rinse with clear water. Works every single time. One more thing, my floor is NOT smooth. It has many uneven surfaces/pits in each tile. Only a man would have picked out my flooring! lol.Helpful Reply

Sherrie S on Oct 30, 2014I bought Porcelain tile 25 years ago and there are no spots, marks or wear in the whole house. Mine came from Armstrong but was shipped here from Italy so we know where it was made. This is the best investment I ever made and the vendor told me not to seal it so it was NOT sealed. A couple years ago I found a little steam cleaner that takes care of the dogs slobbering on the shiny floors.Helpful Reply
