Homemade Clay Beads

Turning clay into beads that can be used for jewelry is actually a very simple process! We generally don't do projects like this one, because we're afraid of them. But once we broke down and created these, we realized we were being silly.
This is the final look of our bead necklace after we'd painted the beads we created.
We used a basic clay available at craft stores. We used white because we planned to paint it, but there are a number of colors available.
The first step in creation is making ball out of clay that will later be turned into beads.
