    We have an above ground pool and people ask all the time, "Isn't it a lot of work/money?" Not really. Here it is almost Sept. and I bet I have only vacuumed it maybe 4 times, tops. Unless you get a lot of debris, it really isn't necessary. I don't do much other than pour some liquid cholorine in a few times a week, and algeacide occassionally and we have no problems. (I do, however, take the brush to it a few times a week.)
