After much hemming and hawing and researching, we decided we could and we would paint the doors and drawers in our early 1980's kitchen until we could afford a full kitchen reno.

hi Kathe. Thanks for following me! You and I have a lot in common. 2 older children, found love later in life and a blogger. I think you did a great job with your kitchen. I did a similar re-do about 10 years ago (painting cabinets etc) but then about 4 years after that, I wanted to really re-do the kitchen and so I did. I should have saved the$ from the first go round and put it into the kitchen renovation - could have meant a SubZero instead of a KitchenAide Hope you will visit my blog. I want to do a link party as well - would love some pointers from you! Linda

Ugh! My countertops are the SAME color! Our cabinets were already repainted, but they didn't prep them correctly (latex on oil) so now the paint looks bubbly. On the bright side, I ripped out a cabinet and a dying jenn-aire cook top and installed a freestanding stove. Nice work on your remodel!
