Owl Fall Wreath With Chicken Wire

I yarn wrapped my wreath and had a large felt owl, but I couldn't get the felt to stick to the yarn with hot glue. I set it aside until I got the idea to use chicken wire on the back of the wreath.
First I cut the chicken wire to the right size. I just laid the chicken wire on the back of the wreath and used wire cutters to cut all the way around the wreath. Then I started to attach it. Hot glue worked the best for me, but it was difficult to get it glued. It takes some patience.
Once the chicken wire was on the wreath, I added my felt own and burlap flowers.
Then I added the final touches - a few buttons in the middle of the burlap flowers and burlap on the top.

Jeannie McCarley on Nov 01, 2014That's different..... I'm really into things that are uncomplicated looking, it's really cool, or snazzy as my Mum would have said ;-)
