We just recently bought a new couch and chair and I have done a little redecorating in our living room.

The coffee table and end table are from our old set. I really want to do something different with them, but not sure what direction to go. Stain them darker, paint them, leave them alone??? Does anyone have any suggestions??
Enjoyed the project?

Karen Stephens on Nov 22, 2014Rustic? The upholstery is contemporary obvious would be stain them espresso dark brown them you can still paint later you'll get 3 different looks. Do the hardware in brushed buckle for the espresso finish and save wooden to paint later. Yo can get a screw to fit with open ends on both sides and keep the old knobs by screwing them up to new from the inside out. This is a contemporary look not rustic. The turned leg and pine wood of the old tables are rustic but the aforementioned espresso stain will take care of that.
