I have an old door that is in line to be turned into a headboard. I plan to add crown molding as well. Like what you did. Think they make such interesting headboards. Have the look of expensive but not! -

What a great find and transformation Beckie. I've never seen an 8 panel door before. Five and six, but not eight. It makes for a perfect headboard. -
This is beautiful Becky...what a FIND and lots of hard work. I posted my headboard out of an old hollow core door and put molding on it..BUT this is so much better! -

Thanks guys. I know I couldn't believe I found an 8 paneled door, solid wood, on the side of the road. It is soooo heavy. It adds some major substance to my already tall bed.
