Build a Headboard Using Old Cabinet Doors

I purchased several old cabinet doors at my local Habitat for Humanity ReStore for a dollar each. Since I was updating my bedroom, I thought a couple of them would look great as part of a headboard!
I used 1x6 lumber to build a frame for the doors. Pocket holes are drilled in the boards to assemble the frame.
The doors are held in place with metal mending straps on the back side since the edges were too narrow for pocket holes.
I routed the edges of a board with a router and a decorative bit to create the trim at the top, then painted the headboard white. I have complete instructions for measuring any size cabinet door and building a frame for any size bed on my blog!
