DIY Goodwill Lantern Turned Into a Light Fixture

We found this $6.99 lantern on a Goodwill excursion for our 20th wedding anniversary (doesn't everyone do this?). At first it was going to sit on the mantel but it was too big.
Since we are building a pantry, we needed a light. We looked for new ones but the price seemed out of what we were looking to spend. Then the light came on, use the lantern. For just over $20 we bought the supplies needed from Lowes.
With some electrical knowledge, and the above materials, it was transformed into:
