Rug binding

Marion Nesbitt on Nov 07, 2014Why not try just a foot or so to test adhesion. If it doesn't work ....labour intensive but you could get bias tape and sew it on with a curved upholstery needle.Helpful Reply

Nancy on Nov 07, 2014Apply a thick bead of Elmer's glue to the edges. Try to get it to absorb into the edge a little bit. It dries clear. Pull the loose edges and work in sections so the glue can dry before you put it down on the floor. I did this years ago and the remnant held up well.Helpful Reply

Lori on Nov 08, 2014You can buy binding already made by the foot, with adhesive on it. I'm in Canada but any rug place should have it. They usually sell it for the ends of runners. I don't know how much you need but it is worth checking into.Helpful Reply
