Jewelry holder for Mom in assisted living
-
Cynthia H on Nov 08, 2014I bought a large framed storage/picture holder for my daughter when she was away at college. It looks like a large collage frame, with lots of room for pictures. That part is on hinges, and it swings open to reveal hangers for necklaces. I believe I bought it online, but, if you're handy, it wouldn't be hard to make. She didn't have room for something sitting on her desk or dresser, so this worked great. Most places will let you hang family photos on the wall.Helpful Reply

Lori on Nov 08, 2014What I did is put little stick on hooks on the end of the dresser that I don't really see and that's where I hang the things I wear on a daily basis. They are so inexpensive you can have one for every necklace.Helpful Reply

Kathy T. on Nov 08, 2014Thank you for helping. That is something I would do but not on Mom's dresser. There is a space from dresser to wall and is a hidden area. Thank you again. I have some ideas.Helpful Reply

Cynthia H on Nov 08, 2014FYI I was at Walmart this afternoon and they had a jewelry box behind a picture frame, but smaller - it held three 5"x7' pictures vertically and was reasonably priced. I don't wear alot of jewelry either, but, like to keep my chains untangled and that was more my size than the one I bought my daughter. There's usually alot of different gift ideas this time of year, and you might happen upon the perfect one!Helpful Reply

Jan on Apr 21, 2015here's what I did. Also what about a picture frame put small eyelets around and hang up her jewelry. No picture or anything in picture frame itself, just her jewelry. You can decorate the frame with any color or whatever.Helpful Reply

Serg Jara on Aug 14, 2015A tree branch. I sanded down a tree branch and secured it to the wall. It looks pretty elegant once the jewelry is hung on there. They sell these at craft stores as well. Some with wooden bases. https://goo.gl/photos/xNGiN5EavNtXCUAT6Helpful Reply
