Progress Report

I tried painting just the cabinet box green and leaving the doors cream (both with the same brown glaze) but that looked a little weird to me. So, I painted the frames of the doors green and that seemed perfect to me. One down, eight more to go. Good thing I don't mind painting :-) I also sponge painted the backsplash. It's in lighter shades of my accent wall behind the china hutch. In the end I decided that all my stencils were too busy. For now, I'll just put them aside until I find the perfect project for them.

Taunnie - are you doing THIS instead of working on the walls & doing the stenciling??

I do like it this way - doing the doors 2 tone makes it more cohesive!! Good job !!

Actually, I was working on both this week. I would paint one and while that was drying, I would paint the other.

Love the cabinet colors and the way you used them. The beadboard insets are great!

I love the look! I peeked at your blog, I was wondering if you added the door to your lower cabinet? I have a corner that is practically inaccessible and have thought about adding a door on the backside.

Thanks everyone! You all made my day! Hey Becky E., no we didn't add the door. It was there when we bought the house. It is a good idea. It really comes in handy. This house may be old and in need of a little TLC but it does have tons of storage.
