Deborah on Nov 11, 2014Yes it's a hoya for sure. I had one that I started off my sister-in-laws plant in 1992 and I left it with my neice in Utah in 2012 because I didn't think it would make the trip to Washington, the great northwest, without crokeing. I gave many starts off that one plant to friends and family. In the whole time I had that Hoya it only bloomed 3 times but it was beautiful and it grew like crazy. They get pretty long if you let them. I've also heard the called Hindu rope plant (I don't know why though). I would love to find another Hoya to grow.Helpful Reply

Dee on Apr 30, 2015My Hoya is over 50 yrs old-it was a cutting taken from my grandmother's plant when I was 4 yrs old. And I have no idea how old the original plant was, but it was huge, so I'm guessing it was very old. They rarely bloom, but when they do, the flowers look like fake plastic flowers. Interesting plant.Helpful Reply
