A Vintage Dresser Jazzed up in Blue
by

(IC: homeowner)
This gorgeous dresser is most Favorited by our fans. The Hepplewhite style and curvy lines screamed for a Jazzy makeover. So we painted it "Jazz Blue" by Behr Paint.
We literally slammed on the brakes and backed up when we cruised by a yard sale with this dresser for sale. We love the gentle bow front, the molding detail and that hardware!
We sanded the entire piece, primed it, and spray painted it Jazz Blue. Using a moist paste of Bar Keeper's Friend, a toothbrush, some 00 Grade Steel wool and a toothpick, we shined the hardware to shiny brass loveliness.
The top drawer had a neat coin tray so we had to paint that blue too!
The piece was finished with a sprayed lacquer finish. .....and all that Jazz!

LeeAnn Gerleman on Aug 12, 2015Beautiful. I refinished an old waterfall buffet into an antique black with some rust color showing in areas. Its now too dark and I want to change it. I could do something like this to it. You all give me such good ideas!
