Can I upholster/cover plain back chairs?

Jill Feigelman on Nov 13, 2014I actually have these chairs :) To add a little flair to them I got bright red seat cushions with velco ties to attach them to the back legs.Helpful Reply

Marion Nesbitt on Nov 13, 2014Personally, I think the style is perfect for the table, and they look comfortable. If you add cushions, it seems you're trying to turn modern into cottagy and I don't think it works.Helpful Reply

Jean DeSavage on Nov 16, 2014in the picture the chairs appear to be plastic? if you don't want to use cushions, but want to add color, you can make "tabards" for the back of each chair. The tabard is basically a rectangle that you put ties on at the sides to hold it closed on each side of the chair back. This can be done quite economically, and you could make different ones for the various seasons.Helpful Reply
