Appliances Crafts Laundry Room & Mud Room

Stenciled Washer & Dryer

Since I can't afford a new fancy Washer & Dryer for my Laundry Room, instead I decided to give a little makeover to my old set using a stencil from Royal Design Studio.

I centered the thick plastic stencil on the front of my dryer and stuck it in place with some painter's tape. I then used a little cabinet and trim roller to apply my paint. Finish it off with a coat of clear polyurethane and the makeover is complete!

Center the design of the stencil first, then line up the stencil edges to complete the design.

Sandra Withum, I've probably quoted that more than anything other than a few verses from the Bible. I even have the clip on Youtube saved.

Yeah Marg! No pressure, but, we want to see the finished project picture. I think this is such a neat idea for boring white appliances. You go girl!

AWESOME! Makes doing laundry more inviting I bet! Another great idea added to my project list!! And I kinda like the white door an the front of the dryer and white remaining on the top of the dryer. Breaks things up a bit, and you won't have trouble finding the doors! LOL :)

Pretty. I once sanded a few rust spots off a refrigerator and painted big copper spots because COWS were the rage at that time. My friend had her brother make me a 12 1/2 inches cow with a brace to stand on top. I painted the little cow just like the big cow.

I will look for a pic. Hahahaha. But not today. Stay tuned for you will not miss it!!!! Hahahaha. Oh what the heck, they were right on top so here goes before and after....
    • This is before. You can see where I kept putting more magnets up over the rust spots. Tiny rust spots were all over the bottom. Very nice fridge but must have had leaks around doors. I had doors reset and started sanding.
    • Not exactly like a cow but I had cow in mind. Had to follow the rust. Then my friend came in with this carved cow her brother had made for me. I thought I had painted him the same color but he looks brown. Everyone got happy. 1

@Nancy, that is so darn creative it's rediculous! How cute is that!!! and the way you painted it , it could have been cow....or if you'd decided it could have been a paint horse...

Oh that is just too cute Nancy! And cows come in all different spotage. I saw cows in Cali that looked like Oreo cookies! No kidding. Darned if I didn't have my camera ready and couldn't find them on way back through the same area.

I wonder what the girl that bought my house did with this refrigerator? hahahha. I didn't need it in my next house. I left the carved cow with the fridge.

Nancy, this is just too much! Too clever! Are those your kidlets in the picture? If so, they got a good lesson to not just be one of the crowd and dont be afraid to do something wild and wacky! How fun!!! you rock!

No Bernice, those are my grandsons. That was a long time ago but I still rock. Lol. Thanks everyone for the laughs. Everyone who came in to my house laughed when they saw my big cow in the kitchen and the little cow to define it.
