I really like the way you separated the brick walkway from the stone patio using a block sitting wall. What are the sitting wall caps made of? Additionally, what a remarkable urn?/pot? at the end of the sitting wall. Lots of character; shows a lot of planning. -
Okay...don't look too closely or what you will see is.....ME!!! That is me hiding in the plants until the owners go to sleep so I can hang out awhile. Just kidding..this is truly beautiful! -
Great renovation of a bluestone patio. Nice water feature and landscaping. How do you build bluestone patios in Rochester? On concrete with mortar joints or crushed stone with polymer sand joints. You have worse winters than we do on Long Island -
nice work tom........love how simple it looks. -
Great job. I like that you have planned for the runoff to go directly into the water feature. -
Thanks all! Becky we used custom cut natural Blue Stone for Caps on the sitting walls. Also, we don't use concrete and mortar Bill, you are right, our winters here can be rough and we have the freeze thaw issue. -
What a great renovation! -
Great idea to pitch the patio so the rainwater goes into the water feature! Nice work all around.
