i have four dining room chairs from World Market that my son's cat has scratched. Any ideas for fixing or replacement of "fabric"?

Recovering with a more durable fabric and a slip cover, but the issue is the cat needs something else to scratch on. I use a piece of driftwood I found, it's a piece of cedar I believe. They like it. I think it's the natural wood that they like. Don't know where you are, but surely there is something outside that would be acceptable.

An attractive scratching post near the chair can help - takes a while...you know how cats are..!

I used a vinyl repair kit on a desk chair & it worked pretty good. The color was a bit different, but the repair was solid. I found this review & instruction for doing it, : http://tombuildsstuff.blogspot.com/2013/07/do-leather-repair-kits-work.html
