We've made thousands of gingerbread houses in our family over the years--yes, literally, thousands. One for each kid in the girl scout troop, the boy scout troop, the classrooms, neighbors, friends... it adds up quickly!
Over the years and lots of trial and error, we have this gingerbread thing totally figured out!
We make most of our gingerbread houses in A frame style, because that's really easy and charming when making a lot of houses.
But I have free printable templates for both the A frame and this style of house available on the Tikkido blog as well.
I love my memories of my parents making gingerbread houses for me and my friends, and I absolutely love getting to do it myself now for my own girls. Plus, my house smells AMAZING all December long!

They are all so sweet and old-fashioned - love them!

@Barb Rosen Thanks, barb! It really is classic and totally old-school, but it just wouldn't feel like Christmas in our house without gingerbread houses!
