Entertainment Center into a Play Kitchen

Transformed a free entertainment center into a wonderful play kitchen for our kids. Easy to make and had a lot of fun doing this with my hubby. Spent less than $100 and the kids love it!

I love it Ange! I've been wanting to do this for such a long time, well since the first time I saw it somewhere online, but this is the best one I've ever seen. I have two grandson's with a baby on the way. If this one is a girl I'll have to find a way to amke one and get it to Hawaii! Now I'm searching for one with glass doors. That made for a perfect "stainless" look fridge.

Becky, Well here's hoping for a girl grandbaby! Although I have to tell you that my 3 yr old son likes to play with this too. I do love the stainless steel doors too. Thanks!

If I still had small children, this would be great! Easy enough to do from the looks of it!

You are right ladies. One of our son's favorite toys was his sisters play vacuum. It's just the boys are into playing with cars and "guys". Although I bet if we had a kitchen set the youngest would play with it. The youngest lives with us and right now I just don't have the room to put a play set. Crazy with a house the size of ours, but I'm working on making a play room for him. Having to find a place to store all the things from my storage room to give him that space is taking some time.

Chris P There sure are enough of them these days with all the flat screens people are buying. Great way to recycle, right?

I just LOVE this! I would have loved having something this great when I was a kid. With all the old entertainment centers out there for practically give away, reusing them into something fun is such a great deal!

Thank you so much! The apartment my grandson and I are moving into has a large closet (wide but not deep) that I want to turn into a tool/work area for the little guy. I have bought him well over 100 toy tools and he knows what all of them are and how to use them...lol..I measured it tonight and an entertainment center will fit in there comfortably for the change over from closet to work area. I think he will love it!..by the way..he doesn't allow me to buy him anything that doesn't say Black and Decker on it... :)

Therese, please be sure to share your creation when it's complete. I didn't know B&D had that many different toy tools out there. I bet our grandson would love them too. He's always wanting to do in the basement where all our power tools are. I'm too afraid to let him. Never dawned on me to get him his own tools. DUH!

My g-son has 3 tool benches (one with a drill press, one with a vice) and many many tools. They sell them in sets of 48 at Wal-mart very reasonable. Achidan is always "sawing" and building...it is too cute!

Becky the best place to go for the best prices is to shop at Wal Mart online...the prices are way different than the sores and the selection is much larger! Just go to www.walmart.com and look around..be sure to set up an account with them so they already will have shipping info, ect... I sound like an advertisement for WalMart...lol..but I shop online with them alot for Christmas and such and ...»
love the fact that if I don't feel great I can still shop (in my pj's) and it will come right to my door...lol

I do almost all my Christmas shopping anymore Therese. I hate shopping in crowds. Especially since very few have the spirit of the season in their hearts. Ruins my personal celebration of Christ's birth. I'll head over there and see what they have. I already have an account with them.

Ha I just opened up a page with Black and Decker tool toys and my grandson, who is sitting beside me watching Mickey Mouse Playhouse turned as if he knew I was looking at something for him and ...»

said he liked them and wanted to know if he could have some. LOL Yep, he'd like them.
