Bonnie on Aug 25, 2015My dryers top comes up but I would think they all do. . Use a screwdriver or something to lift it up. A fireman told me a huge percent of house fires are from dryers. You should vacuum them out every 6 months or when time changes 2x a year to make it easier to remember. I NEVER leave the house or even shower with dryer going even though I clean it. The dryer vent should be cleaned out also. Cleaning lint trap is important but it doesn't all stay there.Helpful Reply
