The glass shade is gold hobnail and it does not match my decor.

There are many DIY projects for this. Or you can go to a store that has hanging lamps and buy a new shade. I'm currently looking for the "perfect pot" to turn into a shade for my hanging light over my sink.
Check a lamp repair shop, they typically have a great selection of pretty shades(globes) that you don't see in the big box stores. I found a lovely one when I took my vacuum in for repair (combination lamp and vacuum repair and sales store).
Home Depot has dozens of new lamp shades to choose from.
