Personalized Hangers to Warmly Welcome Guests

Living away from our extended family means that we get a lot of house guests and there are a few little things that we do to try and make them feel welcome in our home. One simple DIY project that make friends and family feel welcome as they unpack their suitcases are these personalized DIY hangers with phrases such as "our home is your home" and "warmest welcome". s
The hangers are very simple and inexpensive to make and every guest that we've had has commented on how much they love them. They can be made with either stamps or rub-on letters (the full how-to tutorial can be found here: http://www.drivenbydecor.com/2012/11/diy-personalized-wood-hangers.html) and would also work really well in a hall closet too. They'd also be perfect for holiday, birthday, or wedding gifts with fun, personalized sayings or monograms!
Another fun detail of our guest room is a chalkboard that my daughters write on to welcome our guests. It's also a great place to write down info that's convenient for new guests to have, such as our wifi password.
The fact that the little bag of chalk hanging from the owl hook was hand-sewn by my youngest daughter makes it all the more special. And the fun part is that most of our guests write back when they leave so our daughters love to run into the guest room to see if any special messages were left behind!
And finally, a big comfy bed with lots of pillows is a must for keeping those grandparents around for as long as possible! You can take a tour of our whole guest room here: http://www.drivenbydecor.com/2013/11/guest-room-makeover-one-room-challenge.html

What adorable, and very chic looking, ideas. Thank you. You've given me inexpensive holiday gift ideas that look pricey.
