Sue on Nov 20, 2014The top could be painted to look like marble or brown paper bags can be torn in small pieces and decoupaged on the top to give an aged leather effect. Fabric can also be decoupaged to then top surface. Then the legs are painted to match.Helpful Reply

Loretta Clark on Nov 20, 2014They are a very cool shape, with the small space at the bottom for display (jar of shells?) I would sand, prime, and paint it to go with whatever else you have in the room.Helpful Reply

Marion Nesbitt on Nov 21, 2014Good ideas. I'd use the bottom for those large books that are awkward to put on shelves or a vase with shells, marble collection, etc., or weighted vase with some artificial greenery or such.Helpful Reply

Corinne on Nov 21, 2014Try a stone spray paint. Sand it with 80 grit, Prime with primer spray then spray with stone effect spray then clear coat spray. Good luck.Helpful Reply
