I live in the northwoods and I'm wondering how to find barn wood

How can I get barnwood or pallets for DIY work in the house? I live in Northwoods.

    I make my own vinegar, hot black tea, and some steel wool...you got a brand new peiece of wood....with a barn board look!

    I've been able to pick up used pallets both at Lowe's and Home Depot. Just cruise around back and see if they have a pile of them, then ask management.
