The Chirping Frog on Nov 21, 2014Paint it the color of your choice and add some type of technique to the back of the open shelving.... paint it a different color, stencil, wallpaper, decoupage... something for an accent and an added design element.Helpful Reply

Mabeline on Nov 22, 2014I would like to see it painted off-white with some of the brown peaking through. I would also like to see less collectibles on the shelves so your eyes aren't overwhelmed and you can better appreciate them. I love the structure of this piece!Helpful Reply

LeeAnn Gerleman on Nov 25, 2014I have a hutch that I was painting espresso brown, (It was hunter's green before). And the back of the hutch came off easily, and I thought of wallpapering the back or stenciling the back that would be seen behind the shelves. This is a nice piece.Helpful Reply
