A fresh look on old shutters
by

My home is 50 years old with vinyl siding and plastic shutters. Not pretty. I'm making the most of it and in part three of my exterior overhaul, I've spray painted my shutters. It's amazing what a change of color can do. See for yourself.

Donna R on Sep 25, 2012Well, I went thru nine of the ten cans. One can had a nozzle problem so I'm taking it back when I go get more cans. They are looking good but, like you, just need one more touch up coat and they will be finished. Wished I'd taken a before picture. Since I'm going from dark blue shutters to white, it's taking more paint to cover. Next I'm doing the front door and side panels. One project leads to another. Thanks.

Teresa Hendren on Dec 31, 2015I used WipeNew on our plastic shutters and they look like new again. Just did it this fall so can't say how long it'll last but the product says years......A lot easier than spray painting
