Jan T on Dec 29, 2014I have one, more oblong shaped. I hung that on a wall in my dining room.....Love it. I left mine antique gold....It reflects the candles and decor at holidays quite nicely....and the gold picks up reflections of candle light.....Helpful Reply

Kayo Frazier on Jan 05, 2015First I would get rid of the gold...Probably matte black, silver or matte white. If you paint it silver or white you can use a dark wax to bring out the details. If you paint it black you can highlight the details w/ a dry brush of white paint. I would leave the mirror as is. Hang it w/ other smaller mirrors of different styles to make a feature wall.Helpful Reply

Merri M on Jan 15, 2015Or..you could spray paint it a fabulous (high gloss) color that POPS, such as teal! I couldn't keep anything in the shop when it was painted this color! Sold three very large frames (that were painted this color) all at one time...and they had only been placed in the display that morning!Helpful Reply

Carol Caurdy on Jan 16, 2015I just repainted a full length gold mirror with milk paint. Didn't totally cover the gold, but most of it. It was scarey because I'd originally paid $200 for it, but it came out perfect! I love it !!Helpful Reply
